This particular woman is the embodiment of what my site is about. She is in fact, a living muse. Not only is she a famous writer, singer, fire dancer and pilot, she also happens to be a WITCH. I have been a fan for over two decades and was absolutely thrilled that I got the opportunity to converse with this spectacular woman. Right off the bat she did not hesitate to give advice during our interview. I told her I lit a blue candle for health during these times like one of her books had suggested and she immediately shared,
"Burn away the toxicity. Burn that away."
She is a thoughtful, deep and giving person and it was clear as to why she chose the path of a witch. Let me rephrase that, actually, she has always been a witch, it courses through her veins. She shared how her lineage is of Hungarian and Jewish decent and how she has always felt,
"Magically inclined."
Fiona wasn't prone to broadcasting her magical endeavors. If anything she primarily focused on her music. Through her music she would often share glimpses into her personal and magically life. For the most part she was happy with her career as the lead singer for the electronic rock band called Def FX. It wasn't until someone suggested to her that she write a book about witchcraft that really put her on the map.
Suddenly, her life completely changed. There was a demand for witches. Especially in the Unites States. Fiona took a leap of faith and moved to America all the way from Australia. She was a guest speaker at Harvard University. She was on the cover of Playboy magazine. America welcomed her with open arms. Even Ryan Seacrest referred to her as, "Fiona, the hot witch".
But all that glitters is not gold. After years of living in California and a few mishaps she decided it was time to reinvent herself. She is a firm believer of,
"Positive responsibility."
Fiona decided to fully thrush herself into a life of service. She got her pilot's license and devoted herself to humanitarian aid and animal rescue. She eventually made her way to the Caribbean where she was able to better fulfill her newfound career. All was well, her chapter as a witch was a thing of the past, but the universe had other plans.
As we all know, COVID happened. Life was suddenly halted. She found herself without a job. Fiona knew she could always find refuge back home and that is exactly what she did. She didn't worry of what was to come, being a witch has always bought her a sense of,
"[Being] peaceful and anchored."
Fiona simply packed up and headed home, ready for a simpler life. She is a firm believer of being an active participant in your life. Not to sit back and let life happen to you. She states that she is constantly,
"Co-creating with the universe."
When the universe sees you take action, it takes action. Suddenly, people started reaching out to her about her writing. Fiona got contacted about rereleasing the 20th anniversary edition of her book, Witch: A Magickal Journey. Fiona was also asked if she could release a newer version of a book geared towards teenagers. She has already written books for teens regarding witchcraft, but this newest edition called, Teen Magick, Witchcraft For A New Generation will have chapters regarding social media, which comes out in 2021. She also started a new band, Seawitch, which will be coming out with new music soon. It's surely been a very serendipitous time for Fiona lately.
The world needed a witch again and Fiona is happy to oblige. Fiona knows there has always been a need for witches. Witches for centuries have been the healers, the midwives, but now witches have evolved. Modern witches can now reach a broader audience and she is fully aware what a sacred responsibility that is.
Especially during these troublesome times. Fiona grows concerned that some who hold political power across the world might be using COVID as a weapon of fear. She wants people to feel magically empowered and not to succumb to this fear. What has helped her during these times is extra long showers, mantras, meditations, essential oils, affirmations and eating organically. She stresses that it is of utmost importance to,
"Find ways to be grateful. Get through another moment."
Fiona compares the fall of the Roman Empire to what is happening to human civilization today. But Fiona is not too worried, she intuitively knows that,
"Humanity will rise."
TRIVIA QUESTION:
Fiona Horne is strikingly beautiful. Especially her smile.
I asked her: What magical tips does she have on the subject of beauty?
She mentioned how a smile can make all the difference in the world. It can light up a face. She takes care of her smile by simply brushing her teeth with hydrogen peroxide. As Fiona puts it,
"No magic required."
