SCOTT ROUSE

Scott Rouse is a busy man. While the rest of the world is trying to decipher fake news, Mr. Rouse is decoding people's behavior instead. He has a fascinating job that most would only dream of doing, and he does it quite well.

Scott Rouse is a Body Language Expert & Analyst. He has recently been popping up just about everywhere, from the Dr. Phil show to TEDx. Scott seems to be in high demand, although he would highly disagree with that statement. But one can't deny that in this day and age, people's curiosity has heightened when it comes to body language. And quite frankly, who can blame them. The world is inundated with an unusual amount of media, and it can be hard for many to differentiate what exactly is going on. That's where Scott Rouse comes in. Scott's expertise can certainly come in handy when we don't know what the heck is going on (which seems to be most of the time lately).

Scott provides some of his insights along with his fellow peers on their show called The Behavior Panel. On The Behavior Panel, celebrities like Amber Heard and Oscar Pistorius are analyzed for inconsistencies in their behavior during questioning.

Scott Rouse loves his job. He shares how his interest in human behavior started at a very young age in his hometown of Louisa, Kentucky. Mr. Rouse's father was the town's only doctor at the time. A young Scott was captivated at how his father could tell who was faking an illness and who was genuinely sick just by looking at their mannerisms.

"I thought my dad was magic."

Scott learned early on that if you pay close attention, people tend to give themselves away. Although he does make it very clear, it is not an absolute. Every individual is different. That is why it is always necessary to have a baseline, so as to have an idea when a person is telling the truth or being deceptive.

Scott has an array of skills to extract the truth from an individual when need be, but his go to tactic seems to be humor. He states,

"Humor is key."

Mr. Rouse explains how too often people have their guard up and it is of vital importance at times for him to get to the bottom of things quickly. Scott finds it very effective if he can get a person that he is interrogating to laugh. He knows the easiest way to build rapport with someone is through humor.

Mr. Rouse is no stranger to humor. His brother is a comedy writer and has appeared on Reno 911. It seems that others have taken notice of Scott Rouse's openness to humor as well. Recently he was a guest on one of comedian Kyle Dunnigan's shows, Craigs News. Mr. Rouse thoroughly enjoyed his experience on the show. He's been a fan for quite some time. Scott spoke highly of Kyle's art form and his ability to transform himself into each and every character he plays. Mr. Rouse went on to say about Kyle Dunnigan,

"I think that guy might be a genius. Damnedest thing I've ever seen in my life."

And this is coming from a Body Language Expert & Analyst!

Scott Rouse is certainly making greats strides in the entertainment industry, and he isn't slowing down one bit. Mr. Rouse and his partner in crime Greg Hartley are currently working on getting off the ground a study to further see what makes a person tick when omitting the truth. Unfortunately due to COVID, the study came to a halt, but they are currently working on starting it up again. Scott Rouse has a lot of plans, and wants to try to do as much as he can. Because as he states, their are a lot of ebbs and flows in the entertainment industry. For now, he's simply just enjoying the perks that come along with having such a unique job. In the meantime, you can find Scott helping solve cases or analyzing Hilaria on The Behavior Panel. For Mr. Scott Rouse, it's just all in a day's work.

TIDBIT:

I was hoping to come away with something from the interview that I could use in my everyday life. Scott was gracious enough to bestow me with a little tidbit. Here goes.

When someone looks at you with raised eyebrows, more often than not, it is usually a

request for approval.
